The 2021 Malbec Stone Valley Estate is bottled only in magnum (there are a scant 516 magnums) and comes from 20-year-old Malbec vines planted in the Stone Valley Vineyard in the Rocks region of Walla Walla. This inky-hued beauty is quite possibly the finest expression of the variety I've tasted from anywhere. Ripe blue fruits, violets, peppery herbs, and floral notes all shine here, and it hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness that carries ripe, sweet tannins, beautiful concentration and depth, and outstanding length on the finish. I love its overall balance as well as the quality of the tannins, and this clearly offers pleasure today, yet I see no reason it shouldn't evolve gracefully for 15 years or more. 97 points, Jeb Dunnuck
